April 29 @ 7:30 am - 7:00 pm

Event Navigation

This event has been postponed and we are hoping to reschedule for the fall.

This symposium will include presentations by members of the metabolism community, open discussion between attendees, a poster session, and a keynote speaker.

Dr. Zoltan Arany, Professor of Medicine, from Perelman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania  will be our keynote speaker. Dr. Arany’s research laboratory studies cardiovascular metabolism, with a wide range of multidisciplinary projects focused on tissues including the heart, liver, and fat. Recent publications from his laboratory have provided new insights into of the metabolic fate of branched-chain amino acids in mice, new insights into the role of mTOR in innate immunity, and identified a key role for pyruvate kinase M2 in vascular integrity.

A formal listing of the day’s schedule will be sent to attendees once it is finalized.
