You and your guest will step into the fascinating world of metabolism and mass spectrometry. You’ll visit exploration stations with scientists and learn about how the labs answers fundamental questions in cell biology and human diseases. Learn more about Dr. Josh Coon:
Dr. Josh Coon is a metabolism investigator and professor of biomolecular chemistry and chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is also a Thomas and Margaret Pyle Chair at the Morgridge Institute for Research.
The overarching mission of Dr. Coon’s lab is to advance biomedical research with new mass spectrometric technologies. Metabolism is a fundamental process that occurs in every cell of every living organism. When the process is impaired, it can become the underlying problem in many health issues, from diabetes to cancer.
