Understanding how complex tissues regenerate after injury is one of the central challenges in developmental and regenerative biology. I am particularly interested in uncovering the molecular mechanisms that reprogram gene expression during tissue regeneration, with a focus on how regulatory elements and chromatin architecture orchestrate regenerative responses. As I transition into zebrafish-based research in Prof. Ken Poss’s lab, I am eager to build a strong foundation in zebrafish developmental biology and genetics that will enable me to address these questions.
