Human papillomaviruses infect more than 75% of sexually active individuals and account for approximately 5% of the world’s cancer burden. My research interests focus on understanding how the microbiome of the female reproductive tract influences HPV infection, including its establishment, maintenance, and progression to HPV-related cancers.
