I am the John E. Ross Professor in Science Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My research deals with the public opinion dynamics surrounding controversial science, focusing particularly on the interplay among media, policy actors and lay audiences. In those areas, I have consulted for Porter Novelli, the World Health Organization, the World Bank, and other corporate and public sector clients worldwide.
