As part of the Ahlquist Lab, I study how RNA viruses replicate by assembling specialized structures inside host cells. These replication complexes are crucial for the virus to multiply, and understanding how they form and function could unlock new strategies for developing broad-spectrum antiviral treatments to control this important group of viruses
