Discovery Expo and Field Trip Day

Part of the Wisconsin Science Festival, the Discovery Science Expo and Field Trip Day greets thousands of students from throughout Wisconsin to the campus community.

Visiting schools all can browse dozens of interactive exploration stations that feature STEM activities ranging from virtual reality, health and medicine, chemistry, astrobotany and more! Students can take in these hands-on activities at their own pace and interact with scientists, STEM professionals and students from UW–Madison and beyond.

As part of their experience, schools can also set up additional field-trip stops on the UW–Madison campus. Teachers can arrange for their students to visit greenhouses, museums, simulators, laboratories, and other unique STEM engagement opportunities.

Transportation costs for your school can be reimbursed (prorated for your schools percentage of economic disadvantaged students), and visits to Expo Day are offered at no cost!
